I get mine done every 24 months. They use a suction device to get 95%+ of the old transmission fluid out.

It's an added cost, but I consider it worthwhile. I have 143,000+ on my car and have never had transmission problems.

To all you car gurus:


Is getting your transmission flushed a good idea, or does it cause more harm than good? I've heard that flushing can stir up sediments which will cause problems later.

Got any advice based on experience?
