  • Babies reading

Just talked to a fellow who's working on, and proving, that babies can eagerly learn to read and get a jump start on other kids who learn basic reading and comprehension in later years.
Yet (with some minor points of success), he's finding it difficult to promote his work beyond the ground level, mostly due to lack of caring by those most immediate and important in our children's lives, their parents and teachers. THEY JUST DON'T WANT TO KNOW.
No wonder we are now such a stupid country!

Why would anyone want to know about some screwball promoter's theory?

      Maybe because it's proven?

Proven what, exactly? That's the question.
May I always be found beneath your contempt.

That HT is a waste of time beyond merely archiving things I need to retrieve and place elsewhere?

If you are still in touch with him, there are many ways to market it and get it out there that doesn't cost a lot.

I'm a marketing consultant and know how challenging it is for start ups and new products that no one has ever seen before. Thankfully, the internet makes selling things a whole lot easier. He just has to package it so it can be used "out of the box," or accessed virtually. He of course needs a site, with a shopping cart so people can buy online. Then it's a matter of using social media, ad words, and advertising to get the word out.

I totally agree with you that as a whole, our nation doesn't invest in education and our society perpetuates stupidity.

Have you seen Idiocracy? It's funny yet frighteningly prophetic. Smart people choosing to have limited children so they can adequately take care of them while stupid people breed like bunnies, making more and more stupid people.
