In Tonga, we lived about 2 hours in a 16 ft boat over open ocean from the nearest market. The boat went to town once a week on Fridays. If the weather was bad and the ocean rough, the boat no go. Occasionally we ran out of TP. In those cases we resorted to the traditional Tongan TP........................coconut husks! That'll make a man out of ya! As far as water, there was no safe fresh water supply and so we had to boil all our water. No big deal.
