Re: Susie's Practical Preps
Awww, helen, I live in a small French town. These people would as soon kill me, and take my preps, as to help me (or even each other) out. There's no Aloha, here...it's every man for himself. It's taken me over twenty years, to figure that out. It was better when I didn't speak their language, I could enjoy them, without knowing them.
The only people that think the same way as me, are my Dentist and the Veterinarian. Most think that BF won't ever happen, or will only happen 'somewhere else'. Or that 'they' will help the people to get by...they being the government, of course. I expect that this attitude is the same, the world over.
Katrina was such a shock, for me, because of the government's reaction...first they fought, and then red tape held up matters. The shooting at the 'good guys' was a puzzle, at first, til I figured out that it was done in frustration. And there was a Hawaiian woman there, a paramedic on a business trip, that told some hair-raising stories about what happened to them, during that time. It just got me to thinking, is all.
