Last time I was on Big Island I only took one pic. I was in the Blue Ginger Gallery in Kealakekua looking for a gift. There was this wild Hawaiian mountain cat resting on the glass display case. Nothing but a mass of muscle and bone, tendons and sinew. Spring-steel ready to come unglued at any moment. I had to approach nearly motionless, lest I arouse it's killer instinct and unleash claws of fury.
In the end, it was an awesome experience. Everybody walked back, flashlights and glowsticks lighting up the darkness. The only thing that would have made it better would have been having a nice girl along with me.
woah, great pictures. I see Madame Pele in this shot. She's holding out her arm in front of her.
Took this shot from the moving bus... I know it's a little blurry but feel it shows the adventurous intrigue of Fiji. Pacific Harbor on the main island of Viti Levu boasts some nice diving hotels, cheaper/back-packer places and handicraft shops. Check out the next island across the water! Anyways...
Life is either an adventure... or you're not doing it right!!!
Jim, yeah "dust bunnies" invade your sensor every now and then.. like you said a quick hand blower usually does the trick. There's even a really cool Delkin device that let's you look at your sensor like it's under a microscope! http://www.delkin.com/products/senso...ensoronly.html
Here's one from my iphone, using the Pano app. I took this from the top of the 2nd Pill Box in Lanikai
