C'mon folks share your photo adventures!
Taken today at Liliu'okalani Botanical Garden.
I truly love this park and you should go. 'K?
Guess you talkin to me!
It's been too long since I been to Lili-Gardens. LOVE those monkeypods! So much so I put up 2 on my property, arching across the stream and almost touching... beautiful. Now I gotta figure where to put the rest, now that I got GOOD neighbors who no tresspass and destroy stuff!
Yeah, I'll get pictures, I promise.
K!

Spreading the virus of ALOHA.
Oh Chu. If only you could have seen what I've seen, with your eyes.
A couple of days ago, Turtlegirl chastised me a little for being out-of-circulation here on HT. She was right, so I thought I'd post a few pics from today.
These pics were taken from the trail up above Hanauma Bay. If you follow it out, it can be a loop. Great hike. I recommend being in at least moderately good condition and reasonably sure-footed. And bring water.
This scene appeared just as I was headed down. It didn't take a rocket scientist to know that good things could happen. Shooting toward the sun intensified the dynamic range and washed the color out, so they were converted to grayscale. Even in these stark terms, it's a love letter, to Oahu.
Here's last night's(2/21/10) sunset from Waikiki.
We had a wonderful beach party for Lucy with friends.
About 40 folks showed up. Sooo much water, food and fun!
Life is either an adventure... or you're not doing it right!!!
Thanks for the comments! Awesome shot, MM! Nothing quite like a golden afternoon.
I'm in kind of posting mood now that I've gotten started again. Here's few from the Wahiawa side of the Ko'olaus. It's easy to get turned around and confused about where you are in there, but it is its own reward, and that's part of it.
Taken during a bicycle trek in rural Thailand about 60k from Bangkok - rice field.

On the bike trip, we stopped at a school and got to meet a class of ten year old, beginning English students. An absolute highlight of the whole journey. We introduced ourselves and then asked each other questions. Then we got to play the word game "Hangman". They were awesome.
