Re: Peanut Butter Paint
Here is the official verdict from Home Depot:
"Bad batch. This is the sixth one that's been returned from that batch."
They replaced the can of paint, minus the peanut butter. Second coat is on and it looks nice.

Re: Peanut Butter Paint
Sounds like it needs more time in an aggitator. A good quality paint needs time to aggitate/incorperate...just my $.02...

Peanut Butter Paint
We're in the process of doing a bit of painting here. Bought Behr paint from Home Depot, as we have for many years, both here and in NY.
We put on one coat, let it dry. Okay, we then see that we obviously need a second coat.
We cracked open the next can of custom-mixed paint (Provence Cream---sort of a very soft butter yellow) and found a gloppy mass of VERY thick paint---almost as thick as peanut butter (unrefrigerated natural style).
My husband headed back to Home Depot in Iwilei with the can. Anyone ever had this happen before? Or might know what had caused it?
Just weird....Tags: None
