I would like to offer my apologies to 1stwahine for comments I made about her photo.

I would also like to extend those apologies to include the entire thread as it was, indeed, considered inappropriate.

Unfortunately, this had to be "shown" to me because I had no other intent than offering a flippant carcturization on a hotly debated issue.

In the future, I will make it a point to give greater consideration to the "sensitive" nature of such topics, and attempt to tread more lightly

I'm guessing that's not PZ's stuff (nor his wife's), but the fellah behind him, who was sent to the store by his girlfriend or wife, who was suffering PMS and having cravings at the same time (for Haagen-daz), so he thought, "shoots, might as well grab something for me while I'm at it", hence the Coronas.

Well, yeah, that's what I was getting at. I was trying to be sensitive to the fact that PZ is his "one of the boys" account.

Actually, Gecko,
I contacted the Admin about this.

I was told that the loud and perpetual trumpeting of indignation on behalf of others is considered "aggressive policing" by members, and was acceptable to "the alternative" which was never explained.

When I responded to Admin, I explained proper forum behavior (if only to show that there is clearly a better way this could have been handled). I also included the definition of a web-troll to show that this "aggressive policing" was actually troll behavior.

Finally, I asked to post a copy of the entire message in open forum to serve as an educational tool in order to familiarize members with appropriate forum etiquette.

The request was denied.

... but should Admin have a change of heart, this offer still stands.

Because there's so much that I eat it for breakfast, lunch AND dinner.

Can't put it in all three, but if I had to put it in one of those threads, it would probably be breakfast.

I figured this thread was generic enough and mods could easily move it if they want.
