    Re: Admirable entertainment celebrities

Hi There, first time on, Aloha! Hey I actually knew his wife.
Not The Monkee Michael, but his very socially concious wife. She was the brains behind the madness and mad he must be. Who else could blow
a million a year and not have billions today. As for the foundation? Don't buy it. For what his wife built and all the work she did to garner the
major award they shared (an emmy) for one of the first smart tv shows
ever versus what little she walked away with after raising his kids from a former marriage, he was no generous guy. He was also no stand up guy either if you knew his behavior.

Here's one: Michael Nesmith; yes, the ex-Monkee. He didn't make money off that TV show or their records, but he did inherit millions from his mother, who invented Liquid Paper and sold the patent to Gillette years ago. They created the Gihon Foundation, which gathers prominent thinkers from around the world, every two years, to address a single issue.[/QUOTE]

Whoa, haven't thought of him in many years. I baby sat for them but not sure which wife, in Maui. He might have had a foundation but bet it
was a tax write off. He was not the world's most giving person. In fact he was a cheapo. She was real nice. He was a jerk. Guess when you grow
up with so much money you can get weirded out.
