Your job itself doesn't make you one of them, but it's how well you do the job that does.
Ditto for Erika and Howard, et al.

slickvic, former jock from HOT 93.9FM is also a member here, with a few posts on his HT scorecard.

He's now with Sam the Man on 102.7FM "Da Bomb" morning radio show. Holla' Vic!

Likely lots of these "well known people" initially found their way here through Mel's "Hawaii Media" section of HT and his Hawaii Radio & TV site portal.

"Well known" can mean notoriety...which isn't always a good thing!!!

And speaking of the aforemention Diane Ako...
I had the pleasure of meeting baby Olivia last night! Gorgeous baby Olivia, I might add. I offered to adopt her but Diane declined saying that occasional babysitting would be just fine!

                    Pshya right!

It's funny because you and I have never met IRL and yet we have some mutual friends. I see em all the time in your photo blogs! I don't know how many times "Oh...you know Christa too?" has come up in our convos.

                    Christa=well known.

Yes, Dear! You most certainly are! Not many can say they won a Grammy or make Music CD's!

                        As foa me being Famous.heheheh

                        Mahalo Scriv and Christa!

I am far from being Famous. I am loved by many. Scorned by moa and feared by ukapila naughty folks.heheheh

Famous is foa da folks who can generate headlines and make the buzz go a swinging foa a purpose...good or bad. In my case, I would use being famous foa my passions ~ Helping The Homeless and The Hungry and The MWH Christmas Slippah Wish Fund for The Children!

Being Famous doesn't bring moa love or happiness. I love being me. Accept me foa who I am...

Ah, just make another CD - now that you have moved here. I think that puts you in line for a Na Hoku Hanohano Award. Given the pesudo-Hawaiian nature of your sound, that could really gets some BVDs in a wad.

I never said you were famous, I said you were well-known. I think there is a difference. John Grisham is one of the most famous people in America, but he could walk down Hotel Street with not one person recognizing him. I was with you for fifteen minutes in Chinatown early on a Sunday morning and of the six people we saw, at least three of them were yelling at you from across the street before you were out of the car. That's well-known.

Big difference. I apologize. My brain slow nowadays.

As for being well known in Chinatown, it's a given. I was raised in the area. Being born into a huge and colorful "Ohana" makes it even moa interesting!
