      Re: Favorite Movie Quotes

      Two easy ones:
      "It's only a flesh wound!"
      and
"What's he gonna do, nibble my bum?"
And does anyone know which movie this is from?:
"Geez, I didn't know the Doobie Brothers broke up!"
      .
      .

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

          howzit lika. good ones!

          Two easy ones:
          "It's only a flesh wound!"
          and
"What's he gonna do, nibble my bum?"

mp and the holy grail (although that line about it only being a flesh wound can, i think, be found in several movies.)

and you're right: romancing the stone has so many funny lines.

Joan Wilder: What is all this?
Jack Colton: All this? About five to life in the States, a couple of centuries down here.
          Joan Wilder: Oh, marijuana.
Jack Colton: Oh, you smoke it?
Joan Wilder: [defensively] I went to college!

            Re: Favorite Movie Quotes

Okay, this one's easy: "Bill, it's your baby. <BLAM!>"

So is this one: "You're gonna need a bigger boat."

But this one might stump you: "That's how i did it--I never saved anything for the swim back."

Or how about this one: "It's not professional!"

And, lastly, this one always makes me chuckle: "Forget the fat lady! You're obsessed with the fat lady!"

You're good, Fondoo. Here's another one:

              (I think this is right)

              "I'll have what she's having."

Kill Bill, Volume 1. I don't remember if Volume 2 had it too.

                    Re: Favorite Movie Quotes

I knew Helen would get the Kill Bill Vol. 1 quote.

The other guesses are correct except for "Stolen Summer." The quote comes from my all-time favorite sci-fi movie.

                      Re: Favorite Movie Quotes

Eh, AuntieKulolo, you stole my line!!! My b.f. & i are always threatening that "those aren't PILLOWS"!!!

"I will come for you. I will find you." -- Last of the Mohicans

"Why does sex make people crazy?" -- Simon Birch
"You're already a bastard. You might as well be an enlighted one!" -- Simon Birch
                      "I'm God's hero." -- Simon Birch

I mean, there are WAY too many lines from "Simon Birch." If i had to narrow it down to just ONE (& i HATE doing that, i'm a person with too many favorites) it would be "Simon Birch"

Hey Toeknee (love the phonetic Italian)

Is it "When Harry Met Sally"? (which is on tonite, on all the time!) The all-time famous "faking it" scene.

U'ilani, i forgot to mention that the other line (it's not professional) comes from truman, right?

(sorry to jump backwards but i would have liked gattaca more if it weren't for the totally impossible thing about ethan hawke's cells not being recognized. i mean, we shed so many thousands/millions of cells, there's no way he could have prevented them from being recognized. no big deal, of course, but i wish they had thought of some clever way of explaning that. awesome ending!

sigh. all the lines i like are so easy to recognize. maybe this one will stump a few people but it's pretty easy...

Man: Listen to me Hillary. I'm not the first guy who fell in love with a woman that he met at a restaurant who turned out to be the daughter of a kidnapped scientist only to lose her to her childhood lover who she last saw on a deserted island who then turned out fifteen years later to be the leader of the French underground.

Woman: I know. It all sounds like some bad movie.
[Long pause. Both look at the camera]

spoken single line by the director, Rob Reiner's mother to waiter after Meg Ryan did that fake looking organism scene. I mean...that would not fool me.
