No, I never liked L&M, at all.
I guess you're too young to:
remember them hogging good rock radio air space with their mellow brand of whatever it is they do/did during the early decline of good FM rock radio.

1) Okay, we all have different tastes. I happen to be a lucky one where most music I like... Led Zep, Sinatra, Hawaiian, etc., even a couple of disco songs.

2) Not really, started young... at most things.

3) To me it got bad when punk and ska took over the radio. That I disliked. Oh well, again diff'rent strokes.

Well, the decline was in full swing by '75, which was the latter end of
L&M's heydey, so judging by your avatar you where real young then, or you're well preserved! But it's good to get a jump on 'things'.

They'll be good and I'll probably wish I'd gone. I'm dying for some live R&R.

My DORM at San Diego State put them on in 1971, just before their first album came out. I had never heard of them. They did two concerts. Cost $5 pp.

Loggins came out with just a guitar and did Danny's Song and House at Pooh Corner. Then Messina and the band joined him and rocked out for 2 hours. Wuz unreal.

For '71, that was actually a high price. Most big shows charged $3 or less. Have time's changed or what?!

Within a short time after that the drummer, by the last name of Bregante, met a cute, young gal by the last name of Larkin. They eventually married and I have a gorgeous niece as proof! In the midst of all this, I divorced but my kids, who were elementary school age at the time, got choice seats at all the L&M concerts their dad would drive them to! That's the part I missed out on...and at the height of L&M's popularity! My former s-i-l and b-i-l eventually divorced, too. But, I'm still in touch with her as I am with my niece. I've never referred to either as "former". Just a little piece of trivia on this Sunday afternoon!

Oh...former b-i-l eventually joined the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band; rather, The Dirt Band at that time!
