Billboard came out with it's list of top 50 sexiest songs.

I don't know what criteria they used. (Sales, maybe?) But it's a shame that Salt-n-Pepa got snubbed, since they made two of the coolest, raunchiest songs about sex. (Let's Talk About Sex and Push It.)

S&P wrote "Let's Talk About Sex" to stimulate conversation about sex ed in schools and amongst parents/kids.

There's also a major difference between sexy and raunchy.

A better term than "raunchy" would have been "frank and direct," how about that?

You're right about the song's lyrics, which promoted open and honest conversation about sex. And I always liked the song because it was clever and had an infectious beat.
