Hapa anyone?

Any Hapa fans here? One of my all time favorite bands. Just found out a few weeks ago that Nathan Aweau has left the band to concentrate on his solo work. Barry and the new line-up were on Hawaii 5-0 a few weeks ago and did Olinda Road and it was excellent. can't wait to hear Nathan's new stuff, but I think I am going to miss him and Barry together. Their music just seems to display the heart of the islands like no other. Beautiful music.

If you ever saw Hapa live, would you agree that their version of Redemption Song is one of the best songs you have ever seen performed?

Welcome to HT, HMIH. I think I know you from another board; good to have you here.

I've seen Hapa many, many times, both before and after Nathan joined; he is an outstanding musician. I'm sure we'll be hearing more great material from him - and it'll be interesting to see Hapa evolve again; new blood will bring new creative ideas to the group.

we saw them in la jolla, ca but they didn't perform redemption song.

i had to watch it on youtube - lol.

also, nathan performed her last week but i found out to late.
