Good for you. Listening to the same CD for 5 weeks has gotta be a drag!

Listen to the Instrumentals "Far Beyond the Sun" and "Blackstar" he is like a Heavy Metal Bach, or Paganini.

            any comments/feedback?
beautiful playing!!! i might have to start going to church to watch him play. very emotional playing without the shred to bore you. even though you know he has the skills to shred from listening to his style of playing.

too bad he's married hee hee

                Dear Mom,

First of all, I know I'm only a teenager, but I can't make it to school today. Don't have the time. In fact, I'm done with school.

I'll be down at the studio finishing the last 3 tracks today & tomorrow. So don't wait up. The check for the record deal arrived yesterday. HOLY COW !!

I filled up your VISA, and made a reservation at the Mauna Lani in Hawaii. You and Dad go enjoy yourselves. I will see you in 3 months, when the European tour is over.

Call me on cell if you need me.

                Aloha

                Your son

ps - thank$ for the music lesson$. $eem$ like they are really paying off.

"shred" is playing alot of notes as fast as you can

i like it sometimes, but i get bored easy. i like guitar playing that is more emotional an melodic, but thats just my opinion

More "smooth jazz," actually - very melody-oriented.

You're welcome (assuming you're referring to the link in post #1 that started this thread). Did you also go the links in post #4? Just curious...

Reviving this thread because I just re-watched the video that started the thread and then checked a couple of others there and found two outstanding videos.
First is 1:11 of a really amazing acoustical guitar player at this link.
And second is 3:05 of a young "Guitar Girl" at this link. She really kicks it up toward the end. (And I was also a bit jealous of the huge stack of Marshall amps on stage behind her.)
                          .
                          .

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
