i was sort of half awake but i totally saw jake shimbukuro on last call with carson daily last week when i was on the mainland. he's like a regular in the house band. and the show has changed a TON since i saw it last. carson totally wears a suit now and acts like conan or leno. it was super odd. but yay, jake.

He sat in with the house band for two nights recently (Feb. 15/16) as a guest. Got only a couple minutes of TV time over the course of the two shows, but Daly & the audience seemed to dig him.
