Re: Songs with, or About Food

Food product commercials also have memorable songs.

    From 1971-72.

"I'd Like To Teach the World to Sing" - originally a "feel-good" theme song for Coca Cola, this became a hit by two different artists in the same years... The Hillside Singers and The New Seekers.

And lifting an oldie out of the "Local TV Jingles from Yesteryear" thread, there is the always popular and old... Exchange Orange Ade jungle

    the exchange
    goes round and round
    in your tum tum tum

    makes your mind
    think yum yum yum
    that orange-ade called exchange

The list could go on with a lot of food product and eating place song jingles...

"You Deserve a Break Today at McDonalds" - I think Barry Manilow either wrote or sang on some of these before making it big in 1975 with "Mandy".

"Who's in the Strawberry Patch with Sally?" a silly sounding song by Tony Orlando & Dawn, released in 1974. Don't know if it was about food or something else.

Whatever was going on in the strawberry patch I don't believe involved eating strawberries! Down here it would probably have involved a guava patch!

I would wager the same could be said about most of the songs mentioned in this thread. Similar to what was noted earlier:
