Have you ever read the X-men/ Teen Titans crossover? great story and art. Crossovers are cool when done right. Another cool one is the Judge Dread/ Batman story.
That's the gold one where they fight Darkseid, right? I got it for 25ยข at Kam Swap Meet, heh.
In the 1980's, I'd collect Robotech comics, then in the 1990's, I'd collect Star Wars comics. I haven't been a regular collector since then, but I do keep 'em all in a closet (and yes, they're in those collector's plastic bags, for all you collectors who will be upset to hear otherwise ).
I wouldn't call myself a collector, but when I was a kid, I used to read the following comics:
- The Amazing Spiderman
- Avenger and West Coast Avengers
- X-Factor
- A little Thor and Fantastic Four
- Archie and Jughead:
- Conan the Barbarian
I no longer comics but wouldnt mind, if there were something id be interested in. I used to read: spiderman, teen titans, xmen, xfactor, sandman, death: the high cost of living, and stuff like that. it got kind of crazy in the 90s when it was all about splash covers, holographic scratchnsniff covers, and crap like that.
once upon a time i wanted to be a comic book artist, but wasnt happy with my style.
X-Men (Claremont & Byrne)
Batman Year One (Miller)
Daredevil (Frank Miller)
Fantastic Four (Byrne)
wow you are a comic book lover. if you are really into the gritty Miller and into Byrne, you should really check out the new Ultimate storyline by Marvel. I've read a good chunk (maybe 70%) of the Ultimate versions released in the last few years. I highly recommend the Ultimates 1 & 2, and so far, what I'm reading of Civil War is very good.
By the way, my faves were the titles I left above + the Simonson Thor.
Oh and the new Dark Horse Conan kicks some Cimmarian ass.
