I kind of tuned in late for tonight's showing of the "Late Show with David Letterman". I get the impression that David Letterman joined Twitter recently and he was sending a tweets saying he was making toast.

Yep, it's definitely Letterman. He's been doing that for years and years. And every time (whether you see him running or not) he walks out, stops at stage right and talks to (or pretends to) someone backstage, while pointing at his watch.
Maybe just some 'good luck' routine?.
.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

I think I remember reading somewhere that the whole running thing started after he had recovered from his heart attack - had something to do with demonstrating that he's fine and fit, although that seems a little lame.
