Okay, let's try this. In the sixties and early seventies there were three songs which received airtime on our local stations (made it into the top 20 countdown) where the name of the song is the same as the name of the group (in some cases, the group's name has an extra "s" o the end). Can you name the three.

One group contained a former actor from a popular TV sitcom. The flip side of the record, by the way, is the song title backwards and the song is played backwards (talk about only having one hit).

One group were the back-up singers for a famous singer late in his career.

The third group has a brassy sound (at least on this record).

Yaas...can you imagine Al Jolsen on a scratchy, grainy piece of celluloid performing this song while plinking on a uke? (Actually, I think I saw that movie on TV a few years back).
