Didn't the bowling ball end up knocking over a stand that supported a fish aquarium?

Winston tastes good, like a cigarette should.

I'd rather fight than switch (Tarrington Cigarettes)

To a Frenchman, it's the Eiffel Tower,
        To a Dutchman, it's a pretty flower,
        To a Indian, it's a monument,
        To a smoker, it's a Kent.

        The taste of Kent,
        The taste of Kent,
        The taste of Kent,
        More taste, Fine Tobacco,

BTW, here is a link to the Kent Commercial ( I would have never got the words, except for the last line and the chorus).

YES! That's the one! The little girl looked SO scared - just cute.

I didn't notice if anyone recalled the.. Johns(t)on's No Roach jingle

                  Johnson's No Roach - WORKS!

And I vaguely remember Granny Goose spraying around the room for a mosquito? Or was that just a dream...

A little bit ot, but there was a man who used to spray a dog with a water gun - Freckles??? Or say to hit it on the nose with a rolled up pap... OMG! That was on Checkers and Pogo, wasn't it?!?

I still have this old, crumbling piece of paper with her autograph. Think i was in 7th grade when she, Doug Mossman, Russ Francis, Teddy and Nancy Tanaka (!) - who else... I think it was Jim Nabors - were all at McDonald's promoting something... Got all their sigs that day

She was the NICEST lady! She held my face in her hands, said i was boootiful, called Mr. Mossman over to confirm... made my greasy-haired-pimply-face-adolescent-day i tell ya! *sigh*

totally ot, sorry.. but brought back memories...

Does anyone remember the HDS commercial with the Honolulu Boy Choir?

We are young men of this country,...

I think that one was taped in 1980/81, therebouts. I had 2 friends who were in that commercial, one of whom had a closeup.

That commercial had staying power, being aired years after all of those members had outgrown the choir.

                            Ouch, that hurts.

There is a vintage early-1970s KIKU-TV commercial jingle that I can't get out of my head tonight -- but I can't remember all the words, either! It was for a local pest control company -- either termites or cockroaches, I can't recall which. There was a really cheesy low budget animation of a dancing bug. It might have even been a paper-and-stick puppet. The singsongy Japanese lyrics, sung by a woman, went something like this, although I am probably butchering them:

                            Na-n-da nan-da
                            Na-n-da nan-da
                            A nan-na oi-ta
                            A nan-na oi-ta
                            DAH-dah dah-dah
                            DAH-dah dah-dah
                            Dah-dah-daah-daah!
One of my Japanese-speaking friends remembered that song and said that it goes:

                            Nanda, nanda?
Ana ga aita. Ana ga aita.
Ana no naka ni wa mushi ga iru!

                            In English (loosely):

                            What's that? What's that?
A hole has opened. A hole has opened.
Inside that hole there is a bug!

That was an exterminator commercial? I don't remember that one. I can vaguely remember KIKU-13 airing Hoy Hoy Trap-A-Roach commercials.
