    See our previous discussion on microclimates. Rain amounts can vary almost literally from block to block.
    Waikiki is on the leeward side, and the entire leeward side gets far less rain than the windward side, for obvious reasons.
    Rain in Kaneohe is mostly 'blessings' -- light rain and very brief (maybe 5 or 10 minutes), and usually bright sunshine right after.
    What we always tell tourists is that if you don't like the weather where you are on the island, just drive a few miles.
