and how do you come by this knowledge?

no. she admitted that a lot of panty, i mean panky went on.

Ok I've just had to quote this entire thread to a friend of mine. Good times.

So does this Hostess bar have Deep Fried Twinkies?

My oh my...this thread has certainly taken off...hasn't it!!! How many phone calls have you received, Auntie?

ETA: So, I have this adorable "hanai kid" who, awhile back, went to work as a bartender at a hostess club. Eventually she told me she'd changed jobs from being a waitress in one restaurant to a bartender at "another". Cool, I thought, and I asked her for the name 'cuz I was going to come in for a glass of wine. <insert long pause here!> She delicately told me, "You're too classy for this place."!!! Further questioning on my part revealed it to be a hostess club. Turned out the tips were incredible. Then, the owner asked her to water down the already very expensive drinks. The dishonesty of the operation got to her and she quit.............much to my relief. Oh Lordy!

Men read Playboy for the articles. They come to hostess bars for the stimulating conversation.

hhhmm...you people are awful...all i read was live sex on stage.....any of those around?

i would much rather prefer a swingers' club - it is way more interesting participating...than an observer!

anyone know of a swingers' club?

i've visited those hostess clubs....since my time here....aren't as great..i am still searching for a swingers' club

                  anyone know of any?

Seedy things? Yeah, some illegal stuff happens. But a lot of it is really comical.

Give you an example. A realtor friend of mine was hung up on this one girl who worked in a hostess bar in the Ala Moana area. He's single, but at least 20-25 years older than her. For awhile, they were spending time with each other on a regular basis. As long as he had the cash to buy her drinks, they were inseperable. But then one day, he worked up the courage to ask her if she needed a ride home. The girl hinted that she would take the offer,..... after the bar closed. So my friend gleefully hung around, continuing to buy drinks until the last call. When the bar closed, he was all set to escort the girl to the car, when she told him to go on outside and wait for her while she freshened up in the bathroom. And like a sucker, he went outside to his car and waited,....and waited,.... and waited. Finally, he went back to the bar and knocked on the door, only to find the bartender and the mama-san cleaning up. The girl ducked out the back door and got another ride home. (Probably from a taxi.)

Believe it or not, there's a lot of lonely guys out there who don't have the social skills. Or they're the picky type (like my aformentioned buddy) who's only interested in meeting very young and pretty women. They don't have the looks, personality, or confidence to find such companionship, so they seek it out at a hostess bar. Oh well. As long as the patrons understand that those "buy me drinkie" girls are only interested in them for the money, I suppose it's harmless. The guys I feel sorry for are those who think they have a chance at finding a meaningful, committed relationship at a hostess bar. Unless they're rich and willing to shower them with expensive gifts, they're only fooling themselves.

Club Hubba Hubba? They had an eye-level stage, so that when the lady was writhing along it on her back, you certainly got an eyeful.

I was seventeen, when I was taken there for a night out with my boss (that old reprobate, Howard Farias, of the Sandbox), and saw the live sex act on stage. I remember it as being rather lacking in passion, although the man did have an erection (I have ever since wondered how he could have kept that erection, as bored as he and his partner looked to be).

We were given business cards at the door, which I slipped into my purse. A while later, I had a car accident and wrote my phone number on one of the cards to give to the man whose car I'd hit....he never called me back about the damages.

Sorry to hear about your friend, Frankie. The world can be a pretty lonely place.

The main host in The Great Happiness Space says regulars are key to making top dollar. The ironic thing is it's important to avoid having sex with your regulars, because once they have you, they lose interest. He's developed many techniques for stringing his customers along and dodging their attempts at commitment.

Hey, that sounds like normal dating...

Viagra, maybe? Apparently Viagra ruined this porn star's career.

Who would have thunk this topic would illicit elicit so many interesting stories???

                                heheheh.

                                Hostess Bars.

My nights were spent drinking and karaoking till the bars closed.

Those were my days of wine and roses.

                                Now ~ I don't DRINK! I don't SMOKE!

My friend owns a Hostess Bar. It's the same wherever you go. Only the name is different. There is always a back booth tuck away in the corner. Foa wat, you ask? Don't ask...use your imagination.

$Money$ is made by drinking "nikohana" a mixture of tea and water or soda for a percentage. Example: Customer buys waitress a drinkie for $10.00. $7.00 goes to waitress and $3.00 goes to house. Champagne is $100.00 per bottle and there is also $500.00 and $1,000. Same percentage rate. All tips are waitresses.

The life of a Hostess is not one to envy. She is a slave of the bar. Especially, the owner. She may have money but she doesn't have time to enjoy her riches. Sad.
