    Re: Homegrown

After I made the post I found out the direct link to the album picture does not work with a normal click. Went back and made a tinyurl with it and this is what you have to do.

    1. Do not click on the URL I post here.

    2. Instead, copy the URL.

    3. Open new blank browser window.

    4. Paste URL into the place where URL goes.

You should see a large version of the album cover.

    I hate Tripod.com
    I'm still here. Are you?

        Re: Homegrown

I know this is about a year late, but I've got a couple of the first Hawaii Homegrown albums. I'm getting ready to pen one to make a Cd copy of it because I had a song on it. "In The Old Hawaiian Way" We called ourselves Shakbait and recorded the track on a 4-track reel-to-reel deck in my apartment with one cheap Shure microphone plugged into it. I remember when I brought the tape down to Audio Media where KKUA was compiling the tracks for the album, I was horrified to find out that as I played the song I'd slowed down so listening to the end of the song then restarting it was kinda funny. It was a long song though. :P

            Oh. My. God.

I haven't heard "O Akua" since I was a kid. It would be awesome to upload all of those old homegrown albums onto mp3...
