KFC across from Ala Moana will be razed (to make room for a new two-story Walgreens). I think this KFC, which has been rebuilt and renovated over the years has been at that location since at least the mid 1970s.

Yes. Does anyone know if it is closed for good, being renovated or I just happen to go by there at an unusual hour??

Did the Burger King in Kalihi (next to Popeye's Chicken) close?? Every time I have been by there of late it doesn't seem to be open at night.

    OH NO!
SA reports: "Byron's Drive-In near Honolulu Airport, the last of a group of family-run restaurants serving Hawaii for generations, will close at the end of February." "The restaurant's parent company, Pacific Food Services Inc., was informed that the landowner's plans will involve the demolition of the eatery, which opened in the mid-1960s."

Well, Chai's Island Bistro is closing, and the new restaurant will be named "Chef Chai's at Pacifica", so... [/shrug]
