I'd love to find a transcript of his Hippie Dippy Weatherman routine! Guess I'll have to Google and see if I can find it.

Yes indeed. We used to play their albums on the air long before the movie In Search Of The Holy Grail, and the stations phones would light up with fans wanting to know who it was.

Phyllis Diller. We share the same hairdo. But I would never marry a man named Killer. Perhaps she's Beth The Dog's Big Squeeze's lost Momma?

Killer? That must be a recent hubby. Back in her hay day she was married to "Fang"! Must admit, his looks didn't fit his moniker but a nice guy nonetheless. Come to think of it, her next husband was also dubbed "Fang".

I was a PD fan thru and thru, esp. during the 60s. At this point tho' she'd be #3 behind Robin Williams and Chris Rock. Williams is multi-talented and, so far, no one has come close to equaling or surpassing him...imnsho, that is! If I was prone to addictions I'd probably be a Robin Williams fanaddict!

                    :

I stand corrected. I was 10 in 1968, most of the time I was put to bed before her royal frizziness was on the ole B&W TV.

Patton Oswalt brings tears to my eyes from laughing so much. I break out his CD at least once a month.

Steven Wright, Richard Lewis and Judy Tenuta are great as well.

This may be juvenile but from when I was a kid, I always enjoyed The Three Stooges.... Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Curly Howard... Shemp was OK, but Curly was the best.

Also like Jerry Seinfeld, the cast of "Who's Line is It Anyway"....

Locally Rap Reiplinger was funny, also Andy Bumatai and Frank DeLima
                        I'm still here. Are you?

                            Re: yer fave comedians

There is huge list of favorites I have, and many have been posted here (whether their comedy came from standup or elsewhere), and some that aren't: Robin Williams, Dennis Miller, Dana Gould, Lewis Black, Red Skelton, Richard Pryor, George Carlin, et al.

Of this bunch, I have met Dennis Miller (was very sweet to us--not the sarcastic persona he is on stage/camera). But the one I have been able to really do something about was the Smothers Brothers.

Don't worry--not trying to sell anything here, but have plenty to share, if it's OK...

I've met them twice (and to see these puts a face to my screenname)

John Candy - my fave comic actor of all time. He was hilarious, especially in 'Planes, Trains and Automobiles', but never too raunchy or prone to making jokes at others' expense. He had a heart, and I, for one, still miss him.
