    Re: Vanity Plates

can you imagine a license plate with just a single phonetic word for any letter such as Alpha. The officer calls it in and the dispatcher looks up the license plate "A" instead of the entire word.

    SPOTTED BULLETIN

    FYI:

If you see a brand new black and silver Mustang Shelby GT with the vanity plate 'POMAI' in the greater downtown Honolulu area, that is NOT me.

Although I am slightly jealous that it isn't!

    Saw this one today:

I IV V ("one, four. five" in Roman numerals?).

Anyone have any idea of its significance? Assuming that I've correctly deciphered it, which is very open for debate!

    Re: Vanity Plates

I seem to remember reading somewhere (Reader’s Digest?) about a guy that had the plate “NONE”. When he received a parking ticket the officer dutifully filled in the blank for License Plate No. as NONE.

When he went to court he was hit with a fine for not having a license plate. Every time he tried to correct the problem it required filling out forms that ask for the plate number which in turn got the same response. Nobody could grasp the idea that a valid plate would have the word NONE on it.

Yes it's still around. I saw a vehicle resembling your description driving around Pahoa about a couple of months ago.

What's in a name? Uh, I guess I don't need to say what my vanity plate says, and no, it's not EVELYN. But, I do promise to drive more carefully.

I think we need to get bumber stickers that say HawaiiThreads.com so we know who NOT to cut off in traffic!

Tsk! Man! Now I have to drive nicely. Just kidding.

Some people are so creative and cute with their plates. I'm not, but I have smiled at many.

Say one of those very large Nissan Titan crew cab trucks on the H-201 with this license plate: 8AHEMI. I hope he didn't get indigestion!
