For anyone who is interested Animal Planet will be showing Steve Irwin's Memorial Service from Australia Zoo on Tuesday 9/19 6:00pm HST.
The public memorial service for the beloved animal conservationist and television personality is being held in the "Crocoseum," a 5,500-seat stadium at Irwin's Australia Zoo in Beerwah, Australia. Incredible tribute...Terri's gone into labor at this point. But yes...I'm a wreck over someone I never met, too.

I hope the memorial is still at 6p. That ought to wreck me for the rest of the evening.

                So sad.

They ran it at 6pm and 9pm here but I am in Oregon. Sorry guys I forget the time difference. Didn't mean to ruin it for anyone.

Bindi Irwin is an incredible young lady and will carry on her daddy's message for years to come. Her speech on how much she loved her father brought me to tears.

Thanks for asking, he did pretty good. He is sad about it I must say. But he is old enough to understand so he just sat back and watched me cry!
And kept saying...He was a reeally great guy. He oved animals mom. He makes me want to study snakes. So overall I think he did really good.

I hope it brings a little closure to him. He was asking so many questions I couldn't answer. Hopefully seeing the memorial helped.

Here's part of Bindi's eulogy to her father:
"My Daddy was my hero - he was always there for me when I needed him,

He listened to me and taught me so many things but most of all he was fun.

When I see a crocodile I will always think of him and I know that Daddy made this zoo so everyone could come and learn to love all the animals.

Daddy made this place his whole life and now it's our turn to help Daddy."
                          What a brave young girl.

And the last tribute when Steve was crying while he was speaking about his children carrying on his conservation efforts...Yes, I was in a heap on the floor then!
It's obvious Bindy will be the next face of Irwin. She is a natural. He had trained her well. What a little doll. I don't think Terri is comfortable in front of the camera.
